With the IceHogs taking on the Texas Stars, Brandon Baddock, a player known for throwing hands and taking liberties on opponents, drilled forward
Logan Stankoven, who is in his first year of pro hockey. The hit was way late and Stankoven never saw it coming. His teammates weren't happy, understandably, and Baddock would be buried under a pile of players trying to get revenge. It's not totally clear what happened, but Baddock was a bloody mess by the time he managed to get up and leave the ice. It's believed Texas Stars' captain Curtis McKenzie was able to exact some justice. When the smoke cleared, Baddock was given a five minute major for the dirty hit, and a game misconduct for his actions.
