In breaking news, the Chicago Blackhawks have just signed veteran Nick Foligno to a massive contract extension.

Blackhawks Sign Foligno To Two-Year Deal

The Chicago Blackhawks have just extended their veteran mentor Nick Foligno for another two years, in a deal with a $4.5 million AAV. Foligno was previously on a deal with a $3.1 million AAV, signed by the Minnesota Wild, so this is a pretty big pay bump for the forward.
📝DONE DEAL: Blackhawks have re-signed F Nick Foligno to a two-year, $4.5M AAV contract extension, per Ben Pope.
Foligno currently has 17 points in 39 games played with the Blackhawks, with 8 goals and 9 assists. The Blackhawks are likely more interested in his leadership with the young and rebuilding team, and importantly his mentorship role with superstar Connor Bedard.
Do you think this was a fair deal?
