The NHL dropped massive news yesterday when it announced that Corey Perry was eligible for a return to the League this year. This was determined following an interview with Perry about the incident that caused his termination with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Now, former Leaf Carlo Colaiacovo has reported that there is a mutual interest between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Corey Perry.




This would be a massive signing, and it is hard to get a true understanding of if it could even work. Would Perry still be valued at a similar price to his previous contract in Chicago, or would his baggage reduce the cost? Do the Leafs have the room to make an offer?
