Artemi Panarin Reveals the Real Reason He Wasn't the Selection for the All-Star Game

Artemi Panarin was not voted to the NHL All-Star game and many were flummoxed as to why that is. Panarin is currently tied for third in points, also tied for third in goals, and is tied for 13th in assists.

Panarin reveals why he will not be attending the all-star game

It sent ripples through Rangers social media when the fans found out Panarin was not voted in. Instead goaltender Igor Shesterkin was voted in, who really has not played up to his standards this season.
To put Rangers twitter at east Panarin released a statement as to why he will not be able to attend the all-star game, and this one is not one the NHL can suspend him one game for.

So New York Rangers social media can be put to ease that Panarin legitimately cannot attend the all-star game. It was not a snub.

Hard to call it an All-star game when ten of the top-20 scorers in the NHL aren't on the initial roster. (Panarin, Nylander, Miller, Rantanen, Pettersson, Makar, Draisaitl, Bratt, Guentzel and Point).
Make it a true all-star game and have the best players. #NHL
While Gregor does have a point, the all-star game roster is shortened from years past, and also if you ever watch the game, well let us just say it is quite unwatchable. The game is more for the people at the event and for children to enjoy.
