The Minnesota Wild lost goaltender Filip Gustavsson for a bit of time and could be looking at the Montreal Canadiens for his replacement.

Gustavsson Out, Minnesota Eyeing Allen

Today, it was announced that Minnesota Wild goaltender Filip Gustavsson would be missing a bit of time with injury.

Hearing Filip Gustavsson is going for another MRI tomorrow and will miss at least a couple weeks.

The Minnesota Wild have placed G Filip Gustavsson (lower-body; multiple weeks) on Injured Reserve.

With this injury, the Wild have been looking at the Montreal Canadiens in an effort to find a new starting goaltender.

While it is unknown what the Canadiens would try to get out of the Wild, there is a solid chance they target Marc-Andre Fleury as he is in the final year of his contract with the Wild and potentially his career. If the Wild want a better piece long-term, they could land Allen and give up Fleury plus a couple of future assets like picks or prospects.
