An NHL referee was caught red-handed fixing last night's game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Canadiens And Lightning See A Crazy Goal

During the second period of last night's game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Tampa Bay Lightning, defenseman Jonathan Kovacevic was able to score one of the craziest goals you will ever see.
After the Lightning thought the play was blown dead, everybody went to the bench and goaltender Jonas Johansson evaded his crease allowing Kovacevic to score an empty netter.
This is the most bizarre thing I've ever seen.

The whistle never blows, music starts playing in the arena and Kovacevic recognizes that Johansson left the TBL net because he thought the play was dead.

Insane goal.

After the goal, the Lightning was rightfully upset as everybody but Kovacevic and the referee thought the play was dead.

Video Shows The Referee Giving Kovacevic Tips

After the game, an angle showing the referee barking orders at Kovacevic was released. The ref can be seen about to blow the play dead but then deciding not to and then telling Kovacevic that the play was alive allowing him an opportunity to score an empty netter.
Players cannot always hear the whistle and when the arena DJ started playing music, everybody assumed the play was dead. Thankfully, this did not have much of an effect on the game as the Lightning were able to pull out the win and overcome this adversity.
