BREAKING: Two Top-10 Prospects Traded
Insider Jeff Marek revealed that four top NHL prospects have been traded including a pair of 9th overall picks.
Multiple Top Prospects Traded
On the 32 Thoughts podcast, Jeff Marek revealed that four different NHL prospects will be getting traded very shortly.
WHL related but Jeff says it sounds like Wenatchee will be trading Conor Geekie to Swift Current & Matt Savoie to Moose Jaw. Nate Danielson (to a US based team?) & Owen Beck (to the Soo?) both likely on the move too.
The four prospects are all top NHL picks and while they will not be having their NHL rights moved, they will be having their junior teams changed.
All four are currently playing with Team Canada at the World Junior Championship and all are playing significant roles with the team.
Savoie (BUF) and Danielson (DET) were the 9th overall picks in 2022 and 2023 respectively while Geekie (ARZ) was the 11th overall pick in 2022 and Beck (MTL) just missed out on being a first-rounder in 2022 as the 33rd overall pick.
