The Chicago Blackhawks 2023-24 season is seemingly all about the development of their latest young star, and in the process of doing so, it appears the team are content with their rebuild.

Veteran forward Tyler Johnson could be on the way out of Chicago

While all of the attention on this team goes to Connor Bedard, this is a unit with several solid veterans, and ahead of the trade deadline, it appears the team are now ready to get some assets in return.
With the likes of Taylor Hall, Anthony Beavuillier and Nick Foligno all on the roster, we could see many moves, but now, it's been revealed that alternate captain Tyler Johnson could also be a piece the team are willing to part with.

A solid veteran trade could net Chicago more young assets

Johnson may not be the player he once was, as he has tallied just 7 goals and 11 points in 33 games this season, but for a veteran team looking for a playoff push, he may be exactly what they are after.
At 33-years of age, Johnson is a consistent force and continues to be a great leader, so while Chicago could look to hold onto him to continue the development of Bedard, if they can get a piece or two in return for him, this move is a no-brainer.
