Today a major new report has indicated that several forwards on the Montreal Canadiens are receiving interest from other organizations.

Canadiens Forwards Receiving Major Interest From New Teams

A recent report from NHL insider David Pagnotta has discovered that multiple teams have checked in about the availability of several of the Montreal Canadiens veteran players. Three of the players linked to a potential move are Christian Dvorak, David Savard, and Sean Monahan.

All three of these players have shown an ability to play at a high level in the past. With the Canadiens struggling in the standings this season and having a young core getting rid of veterans could make some sense.

Which Player Holds The Most Trade Value For Montreal?

All three of the players mentioned in the post above have qualities that NHL GMs would love to add to their team. Their size and veteran leadership would likely be the most attractive qualities to other teams.
Sean Monahan has likely shown the most promise on the ice this season. He has 20 points in 33 games and has shown he can still contribute in a middle-six role. David Savard has not played much this season but in his 11 games, he has 3 points and is a plus four. Finally, Christian Dvorak has had the worst season of the three but is the youngest with the most left to give.
Teams will all value different things. Some might be willing to take a swing on Dvorak for better and longer upside. Others might want the safety and reliability that Monahan brings. Savard brings the highly coveted right-handed defenseman.
With all of these players, there is a risk-reward balance. There is a chance all of them find a new home this trade deadline season. There's also the possibility they all stay put in Montreal.
