In Breaking News, the NHL has officially dealt with their bankrupt sponsor in an attempt to move forward to find other partners for the League.

NHL Agrees To Allow Bally Sports To Broadcast for 11 Teams

Bally Sports, the NHL's local broadcaster for some of its teams, recently declared bankruptcy after the owner revealed that the company was over $8 billion in debt. The move left the NHL scrambling to find another broadcaster for its teams.

Now, a deal has been struck to allow Bally Sports to broadcast the remaining games this season for 11 teams.

"The NHL and Diamond Sports Group, the largest owner of regional sports networks, have reached an agreement that will keep local broadcasts for 11 teams on Bally Sports through the end of this season.

While there will be a reduction in rights payments for some teams, the local rights for those 11 franchises will revert back to the NHL at the end of this season." ESPN said.

The deal is good news for local hockey fans, however, it is unfortunate that they had to deal with a bankrupting partner for their broadcasts.
