In a major turnaround from previous reports, this 25-goal scorer is now likely to be traded in the coming days, according to new reports.

Vrana Not Placed On Waivers Indicating Potential Trade

The St. Louis Blues were reportedly going to place Jakub Vrana on waivers but then decided not to at the last minute. According to Jeremy Rutherford of the Athletic, this could be because the Blues are re-engaging in trade talks.
Update: Vrana's camp was told this morning by the Blues that he would be placed on waivers, according to agent JP Barry of CAA.

Something changed after that. It's not uncommon that teams engage/re-engage in trade talks. For now Vrana is in limbo until a trade or waivers.
Vrana is undoubtedly struggling this season. With just 2 goals and 4 assists in 19 games this year, he is not up to his usual form. Because of this, the Blues are likely looking to try and dump what is left of his salary to make other moves at the deadline.

Vrana Not Up to Past Self Over the Past Few Seasons

A trade for Vrana will be interesting to see what the Blues could get in return for him. They traded a late pick and a minor leaguer for him earlier this season, in hopes that a new setting would spark him back to his old ways.
Jakub Vrana has been bad. But I'll never understand how the Blues have handled him.

He was great last year playing with Thomas/Kyrou/Buch and they immediately throw him with Hayes to start the year. Then healthy scratch him. Never think he got the «message». #STLBlues
The change in scenery doesn't seem to have done the trick, and now offloading him could be difficult. We will see what the Blues decide to do with him as he sits in limbo with the club.
UPDATE:
Vrana was placed on waivers today.
