Just 11 games into the season it sounds as if the Toronto Maple Leafs are ready to move on from offseason acquisition Tyler Bertuzzi.

The 28-year-old forward signed a one year, $5.5 million contract in July, but has struggled to produce with just a +1, one goal and two assists.
Bertuzzi started the season on the top line aside elite scorers Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner but while his linemates were racking up the points, he was not getting involved enough and has bounced up and down amongst the line combinations.
With the team struggling to a 5-3-2 start and in the midst of a current three-game losing streak, many are calling for moves to be made and Toronto GM Brad Treliving may now be ready to pull the trigger.

Lack of response noted

After a loss against Boston last Thursday, there were some quick to point out the team's lack of response to a vicious hit by Brad Marchand that sent Timothy Liljegren to long-term injured reserve.
Head coach Sheldon Keefe noted his disdain for the matter and some feel that Bertuzzi, considered to be a gritty player, didn't help matters by refraining from retaliating against his former teammate.
Keefe was probably also not thrilled with Bertuzzi's praising of Marchand to the media following the incident.
Last season Bertuzzi played for Detroit and Boston, combining four eight goals and 22 assists.
