The coach's seat in Toronto is always warm but now it seems to have gotten extremely hot for head coach Sheldon Keefe following a less than enthusiastic start from his bunch.

The Maple Leafs, who made some major acquisitions in the offseason, started the season 5-3-2 and were sitting in third place in the Eastern Conference after ten games, but a +1 goal differential and a three-game losing streak have some ready to find a new bench boss.
Over his first four season at the helm, Keefe compiled a 166-71-30 record and led the Leafs to the postseason, finally guiding them out of the first round before Florida ended their season in the second.

Is successor in house?

Toronto hired former Ottawa and Tampa Bay head coach Guy Boucher as an assistant coach in the offseason, and many believe he is the ideal candidate to be next in line to lead the Leafs.
He has a 423-191-186 career record, with three seasons spent with both the Lightning and the Senators. Boucher led both teams to their respective conference finals in his first season as head coach. Keefe has won just one series over four playoff runs.
