Junior Hockey can often get a bit reckless as players cross the line more often than they do in the NHL. Today we learned that the OHL has handed out punishments for an altercation during the Kingston Frontenac's last game.

Coach, Player Fined And Suspended

Following the final whistle of the Frontenac's last game, a player from the Oshawa generals shot a puck which hit a Frontenac player. The Frontenacs took acceptation to this and a scrum ensued. One player, Maddox Callens, left the bench to join the fray.

Players leaving the bench to join a fight is a major no-no is just about every hockey league including the OHL. It comes with an automatic suspension for the player(s) involved as well as their head coach. Today, The OHL announced the disciplinary actions for the Frontenacs personnel.

OHL Disciplinary Action: Kingston's Maddox Callens has been suspended for two games and Head Coach Troy Mann has been assessed a two game suspension and fine of $1,000 as a result of events at the conclusion of the game on Oct. 27th vs. Oshawa.

The Frontenacs next take on the Barrie Colts on November 3rd at 7PM EST.
