One of the greatest to ever do it, Joe Thornton has announced his retirement. The first overall pick in 1997 has a legendary career.

Thornton Calls it a Career

After being drafted by Boston 1st overall, Thornton bloomed as a San Jose Shark. The legendary centre finished his career with the Florida Panthers.
Jumbo Joe Thornton officially announces his retirement like only he could, no shirt and all.
First ballot Hockey Hall of Famer to be sure.
What a career. And what a character !
