The Boston Bruins lost plenty of veteran names this summer, but after a tenure away from the city he once called home, they also saw the return of a beloved figure in Boston hockey history.

A grand return

After spending several years on the West Coast, veteran forward Milan Lucic, a key figure of the 2011 Stanley Cup winning team made his return to the organization, and things got rolling immediately.
Despite his dip in performance over the past few years, the veteran had two assists in the teams first four games, but since that point, he's missed a few games after taking a puck to the skate in their win over the LA Kings.

Bad news for the veteran

Unfortunately, Head Coach Jim Montgomery has now revealed that Lucic will be missing 'a few weeks' with the injury, and while it's thankfully not expected to be a long absence, it's a big loss for this team.
Lucic still brings a great veteran presence along with a physicality this team sorely needs, so after the 6-0 start to the year, the team will be hoping they can get him back on the ice as soon as humanly possible.
