The 23-year-old winger made a Lord Of The Rings reference on X this morning as he began his recovery from the scary injury.
Lauko is a self-proclaimed Lord Of The Rings superfan, and he's even gone so far as to get tattoos related to the franchise.
Lauko Avoids Catastrophic injury
Lauko took the skate to his face as the Bruins took on the Blackhawks last night. Chicago forward Jason Dickinson got him with the skate as he stumbled in a mass of humanity by the boards. The Bruins winger immediately jumped off the ice as he threw off his gloves and grabbed his face. Luckily, the skate blade missed his eye by millimeters.
The Bruins have their next game tomorrow as they take on the Anaheim Ducks.
