Today brought incredibly sad news to the Montreal Canadiens fanbase, as it's just been revealed that Kirby Dach will be out long-term following his scary injury. However, it's not just fans who are upset regarding this development, as Canadiens youngster Juraj Slafkovsky is also expressing his frustration.

Slaf Doesn't Hold Back

Following the news of Dach's injury this morning, Juraj Slafkovsky spoke with the media and shared his thoughts regarding his linemate's injury. The young Slovak didn't hold back, surprising many fans with his choice of words.
"Absolutely fucking terrible! It's the worst thing that could happen two games into the season" - Juraj Slafkovsky

Slakfovsky is known for his bright personality, but this is the first time we've heard Slaf get explicit with the media.

Breakout on the Horizon?

It was apparent throughout the game and a half that Slafkovsky were together that the two had built some chemistry. Add in newcomer Alex Newhook, and you've got yourself quite a formidable second line of youngsters.
Slafkovsky had an underwhelming rookie season which was unceremoniously ended due to injury. As he heads into his sophomore season, the former 1st overall pick will look to cement himself as a full-time NHLer.
Without Dach by his side, this task will be somewhat more challenging, but we trust that Slafkovsky can adapt.
