The Chicago Blackhawks have plenty of excitement over their top prospect and now top line center Connor Bedard, but beyond that, the future looks very promising in Chicago.

A talented 23-year old

Unfortunately, one of those talented young players has now suffered a devastating injury that is likely to land him on the Long Term Injured Reserve.

That would be Philipp Kurashev, who played in a career high 70 games a season ago, netting 9 goals and 16 assists for 25 points, but now, his growth has taken a serious hit.

An intriguing injury issue

Despite initially being revealed as a minor injury, Kurashev's wrist injury is now going to see him land on the LTIR, while the team are yet to reveal the exact timeline for his recovery.

With Bedard, Kurashev, Lukas Reichel, Kevin Korchinski and others, the future seems bright in Chicago, but at 23-years of age, Kurashev needs to develop as quickly as he can if he's to remain a key part of this teams future.
