These new arena developments in a potential new NHL City are putting even more pressure on the Arizona Coyotes to find a home or risk losing their franchise.

Toyota Center in Houston is Getting NHL-Ready, Putting Pressure on Arizona

The Arizona Coyotes have struggled in the past few years to put people in seats at their games, and also to find a new NHL arena for the club to play in. The City has been rumoured to be at risk of losing the franchise, and now, new arena developments in Houston are exacerbating the pressure.

Of note: The renovation underway at Houston's Toyota Center will include the installation of ice-making equipment that will ensure the building can ultimately be NHL-ready.

Houston One of Many Cities Vying for NHL Franchise While Arizona Struggles

The new developments are likely adding to the pressure that Arizona is facing to find a new arena, as Houston has been pegged as a potential candidate for NHL expansion.
