Olli Juolevi never lived up to expectations in the NHL. The former fifth overall pick bounced around, never able to become an NHL regular.

After being released from his PTO in Arizona, he has officially left the league - signing in Sweden.

Olli Juolevi Officially Done in the NHL

It's not much of an era to end, but it certainly looks like this is it for the fifth overall pick in 2016.

In his «not-so-illustrious» career, he played for the Canucks, Panthers, and Red Wings.

He has now signed with Timra of the SHL:

Olli Juolevi has signed a contract to play for Timrå IK of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL).

Juolevi was invited to training camp on a PTO by the Arizona Coyotes this summer but was released on September 26th.

Hopefully Juolevi will see success in Sweden. The NHL chapter of his career, however, is likely finished.
