Malkin and Crosby are likely the best-known hockey players in the City of Pittsburgh, being staple Penguins players for nearly two decades. The two have led the City to three Stanley Cup Championships, and have both played their entire careers for the Penguins.
Like all great things, the duo must come to an end at some point. Now, we may know when that point might be, as Malkin has announced his retirement plans.
In a recent interview, Evgeni Malkin told the press that he is hoping to play just 3 more years in the NHL.
The 37-year-old has had an illustrious solo career himself, posting an incredible 1229 points in 1063 career games. He isn't slowing down with age, either. Last year, he managed to put up 27 goals and 56 assists, for 83 points.
It's safe to say that the Penguins organization will keep Malkin as long as he lets them.
