The Minnesota Wild have signed one of their top players to a bargain deal.

Zuccarello signs Extension with MIN

The Minnesota Wild have signed Mats Zuccarello to a two-year, $8.25M contract extension. The deal carries a $4.125 AAV starting in the 2024-25 season.

Zuccarello, 36, has spent the past 4 seasons with the Wild, having previously spent 9 seasons with the New York Rangers and Dallas Stars. His first 9 years with the Rangers before a trade to Dallas, where he played 2 games, but was an important piece in the Stars 2019 Playoff tun, with 11 Points in 13 Games.

Zuccarello continues to be one of the NHL's top veteran offensive talents, scoring 22 Goals, 45 Assists and 67 Points in 78 Games for Minnesota last season. Zuccarello has enjoyed a late career resurgence, coming off a PPG campaign with a career-best 79 Points in 70 Games with Minnesota in 2021-22 alongside fellow star Kirill Kaprizov.

Zuccarello is now signed until the age of 38, under contract until the end of the 2025-26 NHL season.
