The commentator of the Boston Bruins, Jack Edwards, has been polimic for quite a while now. Recently, he made headlines for the comments he made on Pat Maroon's weight.

But in spite of that, he's a beloved figure in the Bruins' fanbase. Now, it looks like his journey in Boston could come to an end.
The pre-season games have started and broadcast teams are getting ready for another season.
Fans noticed something major in yesterday's game between the Bruins and the Rangers.

Bruins' Commentator Jack Edwards to be Replaced in Boston?

A new rumour is going around: there could be a change of staff in Boston.
During yesterday's game, Jack Edwards was replaced by Alex Faust, who's been the play-by-play commentator for the Kings since 2017. However, the organization decided to not renew his contract over the summer.
"Update: Jack Edwards is not on the mic tonight for NESN. Planned absence. Alex Faust, formerly of NU and LAK broadcast booth, is on the call with Melrose's own, Andy Brickley."

Alex Faust to Replace Jack Edwards as the Bruins' Commentator?

Edwards' absence was planned, but rumours about a full-time replacement are circulating on social medias:
"It's been 30 seconds, and I'm all in on Alex Faust as PxP for the Bruins replacing Jack Edwards."
"Alex Faust should replace Jack Edwards on Bruins telecasts."
"Hopefully the next voice of the #nhlbruins.
@alex_faust"
There's been some good news for Faust fans. Jimmy Murphy, longtime reporter for the Bruins, thinks that Faust might be more than a temporary replacement:
"He might become much more than a fill-in, from what I am told."
With the season set to start in three weeks, if an official change is made, an announcement from all parties involved should comme soon!
