The best Philadelphia Flyer from last season has reportedly been injured.

Konecny Hurt

Today the Philadelphia Flyers continued to get ready for the upcoming season but their best player from last year, Travis Konecny, sat out.

Travis Konecny missed practice this morning. He's described as being "banged up", but it's not considered serious.

Konecny led the Flyers in goals and points last year with 31 and 61 respectively but what makes this even more impressive is how he managed to do so while playing in only 60 games.

The Flyers have been plagued with injuries over the past couple of seasons with Sean Couturier missing all of last season and Ryan Ellis seemingly being done for his career.

This year is anticipated to be another transition year for the Flyers as they are projected to finish near the bottom of the standings but despite this, they still have good players like Konecny and Couturier.

If they remain healthy, there is a solid chance that they surprise everybody and contend for the playoffs and the Florida Panthers proved last year that once you're in, anything can happen.
