As of now there is a shadow that looms over this trade as Taylor Hall is confirmed to be grappling with a perplexing lower-body injury. Mysteriously absent from the opening day of training camp with his new squad, he's kept silent about the ailment.

#Blackhawks' Taylor Hall misses first day of training camp with lower-body injury:

While the head coach, Luke Richardson, maintains a reassuring demeanor, the player's condition remains a puzzle. For now, the focus is on Hall's recovery, with Ryan Donato stepping in alongside Connor Bedard in the interim.

"I don't think so, but we're going to just defer till we get more information on that," Richardson said when asked whether he's concerned about it being more than a day-to-day injury. "It's only Day 1, so hopefully tomorrow or the next few days we'll know more."

Richardson doesn't think Taylor Hall or Colin Blackwell's injuries are too significant but they'll get more info in the coming days.

Blackhawks fans are hoping it's not a serious injury and they can see him in regular season action as soon as possible
