The Florida Panthers are set to add a gritty veteran forward to their roster ahead of training camp.
Panthers Will Sign Ritchie
George Richards of Florida Hockey Now revealed some major contract news in his recent article that revealed Brett Ritchie will be signing in Florida on a PTO.
Free agent Brett Ritchie is expected to be part of #FlaPanthers training camp when it opens up a week from today
Richards says the following regarding Ritchie:
"Florida, which will open camp next Thursday morning, are expected to invite 30-year-old forward Brett Ritchie to camp."
Ritchie spent last season split between the Arizona Coyotes and Calgary Flames where he scored 13 points in 50 games.
In Ritchie's 391-game career, he has scored 85 points playing with Dallas, Boston, Calgary, and Arizona.
Ritchie will now look to earn a full-time spot with the Panthers as a bottom-six forward who can provide a solid defensive game and some sandpaper.
