The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed a former 1st round pick ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Penguins Sign White

Insider Renaud Lavoie has just revealed that the Pittsburgh Penguins have signed Colin White to a PTO.

White was originally selected with the 21st overall pick by the Ottawa Senators in 2015 and earned a long-term contract with the team that they later bought out.

Since having his contract bought out by the Senators, White spent his time playing with the Florida Panthers and proved to be a valuable bottom-six asset during their playoff run.

He has career highs of 14 goals and 41 points which he registered with the Senators in 2018-19.

He will now focus on earning a contract with the Penguins and eventually look to help them make the playoffs this year if he earns a roster spot.
