Reports are coming in today that the Toronto Maple Leafs have made a new signing. The player reported to be signing will bring the grit and toughness that so many have been calling for in recent weeks and months.

Gregor To Toronto

Breaking news from the Toronto Maple Leafs indicates that they have signed Noah Gregor to a PTO (Professional Tryout).

Gregor most recently played with the San Jose Sharks last season. In his NHL career, the 25-year-old has played 178 NHL games and racked up 51 total points. Gregor also averages over two shots and hits per game in his career. He will bring a physical and energetic presence to the lineup.

Gregor also being only 25-years-old could be a good piece for the Leafs going forward if he can earn a roster spot. He could add the missing piece for a reasonable price and is a player who still has potential upside given the right opportunities.

With the Maple Leafs roster being as stacked as it is up front it is difficult to see a path for Gregor to play every day. He could earn a contract though and work his way into more playing time as the year goes on.
