It was just announced by insider Frank Seravalli that the San Jose Sharks have hired Ryan Miller and Thomas Vanek as amateur scouts.
Notable additions to #sjsharks staff today: Ryan Miller has been hired as goalie scout and goaltending development; Thomas Vanek has been hired as an amateur scout with Minnesota as his territory.
Both Miller and Vanek were teammates with #sjsharks GM Mike Grier in Buffalo.

Miller played in 796 career games in his 18-year career registering 391 wins. He is the winningest American goaltender in NHL history.
Vanek played over 1,000 career games registering 789 career points.
