Eklund, from Hockey Buzz, reported that "Kane will play for a contender", and that "he already knows the team too".

Not only does this confirm the return of Kane, it reveals that he already knows where he'll sign.

Kane announced earlier in the summer that he'd wait before signing with a new team. It's surprising that he already knows where he'll play.

If that's the case, he might sign earlier than we thought.
