Restricted free agent forward Andre Burakovsky has signed a new deal with the Colorado Avalanche. It's a two-year contract that carries an average annual value of $4.9 million.

Burakovsky, 25, was initially drafted by the Washington Capitals but was traded to the Avs in June of 2019 for Scott Kosmachuk and a second and third-round pick in 2020. Last season, the two-way winger picked up 20 goals and 25 assists for 45 points.

The signing still leaves Colorado with a considerable amount of cap space at almost $17.5 million, although there are other RFAs left to sign.
