Brett Pesce has been one of the most consistent performers in the NHL since his arrival in 2015, but now it appears the 28-year old could be on his way out of Carolina.

A solid start to his career

Since joining the Hurricanes back in 2015, Pesce has been a consistent source of production for Carolina, as the 28-year old has racked up 185 points in 557 games played for the team.

However, since becoming eligible for an extension back on July 1, no reports of a contract extension have been revealed, and now, there are reportedly teams interested in acquiring the veteran blue liner.

Where could Pesce end up?

According to a recent report, the Calgary Flames and Seattle Kraken both have interest in Pesce, as they look to contend with the reigning Stanley Cup Champions in the Pacific Division.

It's unclear yet whether or not the teams have made contact with Carolina, but the Hurricanes are looking to make moves ahead of another Stanley Cup push, and if this is the difference between landing an Erik Karlsson or not, they'd be silly not to pursue a move with Calgary or Seattle.
