Evgeni Malkin Settles Viral Debate Surrounding His Career

There has been a widely debated topic that has divided the hockey community but Evgeni Malkin has put the debate to bed by commenting on it.

Recently, a question has gone viral asking who you would rather have, prime Evgeni Malkin or prime Patrick Kane? The question has split the hockey community into two with valid arguments for both players.

Today, Evgeni Malkin gave his two cents on who is better by attempting to settle the debate once and for all.

The debate is wide open and despite Malkin saying it is Kane, it may not be.

Comparing the two, Malkin has 1,229 career points in 1,063 total games while Kane has 1,237 points in 1,180 games. Malkin has a higher point-per-game average but that also comes with him playing alongside Sidney Crosby while Kane played alongside Jonathan Toews.

Both players have three Stanley Cups where they were both key members of their wins. Kane won the Conn Smyth in 2012-13 while Malkin won the Conn Smyth in 2008-09.

Malkin has two Art Ross', a Ted Lindsey, a Hart, and a Calder as well.

Kane has only one Art Ross, a Ted Lindsey, a Hart, and a Calder.

Prime Malkin posted 50 goals and 109 points in 75 games while Prime Kane posted 46 goals and 106 points in 82 games.

The two have many similarities but if it comes down to it, it is really up to preference which player was more dominant at their peak and both are surefire Hall of Famers.
