Kovalenko's KHL Contract Terminated

The Avalanche drafted Kovalenko in the 6th round of the 2018 NHL draft and he is the son of former NHLer Andrei Kovalenko.

Kovalenko Looks Ahead

Despite having his KHL contract terminated, he will still play in the KHL next year on loan.

Last year, he scored 21 goals and 54 points in 56 KHL games. He will look to build off of those totals on his route to becoming an efficient NHLer.

Most KHLers with numbers similar to Kovalenko wind up making a significant NHL impact so he could potentially slot into Colorado's top six when he comes to North America in 2024-25.
