Former captain of the Montreal Canadiens and New Jersey Devils has gotten a new coaching job with a rival team.

Muller Joins Capitals

Kirk Muller had quite the lengthy NHL career spanning 1,349 games which saw him post 959 total points and captain the Montreal Canadiens and New Jersey Devils.

His success on the ice has translated to behind the bench with Muller serving as a coach many times.

Today, it was announced that he will be joining a new team as a head coach.

Muller has previously served as an assistant coach in Montreal, St. Louis, and Calgary as well as being a head coach with Carolina.

His on-ice career saw him play with the Devils, Canadiens, Islanders, Maple Leafs, Panthers, and Stars.

Muller was the 2nd overall pick in the 1984 NHL draft drafted only behind the legendary Mario Lemieux.
