Superstar Reveals He's Been Injured Constantly For Nearly a Decade
One of the best NHLers of the past decade has revealed he has been injured since 2015.
Backstrom Reveals Injury
Nicklas Backstrom is known as one of the best playmakers of the 2000s and 2010s who has become criminally underrated due to his teammate Alex Ovechkin.
Recently, he revealed that he has been injured since 2015.
Since sustaining the injury when he was 27, Backstrom kept scoring at an elite pace but never crossed the 100-point threshold as he did when he was younger.
However, he consistently scored at a 70+ point pace while struggling with the injury and finally got surgery last offseason.
Backstrom's Success
Backstrom is one of the best players of his generation and a Hall of Fame lock. He has played 1,097 total games and registered 1,032 points, 761 being assists.
He has amazing chemistry with Alexander Ovechkin being the perfect playmaker to complement his goal-scoring capabilities.
A completely healthy Backstrom could see him revitalize his career which has seen a downturn in scoring over the past two seasons with 52 points in the past 86 games.
