Fans Worried After Patrik Laine's Odd Comments on Mike Babcock
Patrik Laine has already had to deal with one of the toughest coaches in the NHL in John Tortorella, and now he's got Mike Babcock slotted as his bench boss.
When Laine was asked about Mike Babcock, he stated the following:
"We've talked about it a little bit," Laine said on Tuesday. "I've been working on quite a bit of stuff, but you never know. I mean, there's always a possibility. It's totally up to what they want, but I'd be open to it.
"We had a good talk. [Babcock is] hard but honest, so I respect that. But everything we talked about there is private and I'm not going to tell you this."

The Blue Jackets roster struggled massively with injury last season, which had Laine switching from wing to centre for parts of the season. Laine also struggled with injury himself, playing just 56 games last season and 52 games the season before that, but was still able to maintain point per game status in both seasons.
Mike Babcock Controversy
Many NHL fans are shocked that Babcock is even getting another shot in the NHL, given how things ended with Toronto back in 2019 and the stories that followed soon after about how he treated some of the younger players on the team.
