A former Bruin has let his feelings loose after their disappointing playoffs.

Stralman Betrayed By Bruins

Throughout his NHL career, Anton Stralman has played over 1,000 games across the regular season and playoffs. He was a very serviceable defensive defenseman for years but at 36 years old, he saw his ice time and game time dwindle.

Last season, the Bruins signed Stralman to a one-year deal with Stralman getting the idea he would be getting consistent ice time. However, he only played 8 games and did not register over 20 minutes of ice time in any of the games. His last game came against the Carolina Hurricanes in late November and he did not even get 10 minutes of ice time that game.

Now, Stralman has spoken out on how he feels he was treated by the Bruins organization.

"They did as they probably thought at the beginning, it became a loan for a few months. Then they got rid of me in the AHL, you feel betrayed, that was not what we were talking about. It's just an example of how it can be."

He then went on to show how he vocalized his expectations from the Bruins when he signed his contract.

"Then I wanted to join a team that had a chance to win," revealed Stralman. "I wanted a chance to compete for a spot on a team. I made it pretty clear that I wasn't going to be a loan player."

Stralman went on to sign a contract with HV71 of the SHL this past offseason effectively ending his NHL career at 36 years old.

As read on HockeyFeed - Anton Stralman says he was «betrayed» by the Boston Bruins.
