Earlier this morning, it was reported that a first-round pick from the 2015 draft is leaving North America to join the DEL in Germany.

The Boston Bruins' 15th overall pick in 2015, Zach Senyshyn, has reached a deal with the Schwenninger Wild Wings and will report to their training camp in 10 days.

Rough Start in North America

Just like all the first-round picks, Senyshyn had a lot of pressure on his shoulders when entering the NHL. He was only 20 years old when he played his first NHL game.

Across the seven seasons he spent here, he played 16 NHL games and scored three points in that time. He mostly played in the AHL, where he had some great years, especially in 2021-22, scoring 31 points in 51 games with the Providence Bruins.

At only 26 years old, it's sad to see him leave his NHL dreams behind. We wish him the best in Germany!
