Daniel Brière and the Philadelphia Flyers took a big risk by drafting Matvei Michkov at the seventh overall rank. He's still under contract in the KHL, and the global situation in Russia isn't encouraging.

However, the young Michkov seems to really want to play in Philadelphia, as he revealed in the secret interview he had with the organization ahead of the draft.

Last week, at the Flyers' development camp, Briere announced that top prospect Cutter Gauthier wasn't there but didn't know why.

Now, it looks like another talented young player in the organization doesn't want to play for the Flyers, at least for now.

Fedotov Ditches the Flyers

The goaltender Ivan Fedotov has signed a two-year contract in the KHL, even though he's currently under contract with the Flyers.

This is something that Daniel Brière would have clearly liked to avoid. With Michkov, Gauthier, and now Fedotov, it's a lot of talent that's not being used.

Do you think Ivan Fedotov will join the Flyers after his KHL contract?

As seen on Habs Fanatics - The Flyers and Daniel Brière were outright played by a Russian prospect
