The Vancouver Canucks are in trouble with their fanbase following their recent announcement involving their new roster additions.

New Defenseman Claims Deceased Player's Jersey Number

One of Vancouver's recent signings of the offseason, veteran defenseman Ian Cole, was given the jersey number 28 for next season by the team. But now, that decision has come back to haunt them after fans are now in an outrage.

Young defenseman Luc Bourdon was tragically killed in a motorcycle crash at the young age of 21, and in the short career he had with the Canucks, he wore the number 28. After his death, he was recognized and remembered by having no one else wear that number and have it hung over the rafters at the Rogers Arena. But now, with Cole taking the number, disrespect from the organization has been displayed and fans are not taking it lightly.

With this feedback and a disliking growing for the Canucks, we will see how this situation develops and if the team will make any adjustments to accomodate.
