Alex DeBrincat's trade rumors have been flying wild for weeks now, with seemingly no end in sight. While we might not have any new info on the trade front, an update to the Ottawa Senators' online roster may have just given us some more details about the trade.
DeBrincat and Brannstrom Removed From Roster
The Ottawa Senators have updated their online roster, which now includes recently signed Zack MacEwen. Interestingly enough, Alex DeBrincat and Erik Brannstrom have been removed from this online roster, indicating that the two may be involved in a trade, or have already been traded.
While the true reason for their exclusion from the roster is unknown, it seems odd that a new signing would already be on the roster, while established players wouldn't be.
Detroit Bound?
It's been heavily rumored that the Detroit Red Wings are in heavy pursuit of Alex DeBrincat, and they were very close to acquiring him at one point. Perhaps Brannstrom is another piece going to Detroit, maybe in an attempt to sweeten the return.
