Ivan Fedotov has been trapped in Russia for some time now and it looks as if the Flyers will finally bring him to North America.

Flyers Rescue Fedotov From Russia

The Philadelphia Flyers drafted Ivan Fedotov 188th overall back in 2015 due to his massive side and upside. Since then, he has developed into a phenomenal goaltender posting a .919 sv% in the KHL.
Recently, there was massive controversy surrounding Fedotov as he wanted to come to North America to play but got arrested two months after signing with the Flyers.
Today, it was announced that the Flyers' contract with the 6'8" Fedotov will be valid which means he can come to the NHL after his CSKA contract was not registered.
This is huge news for Fedotov because he was forced to play for the Russian military as they did not want to lose him to North America.
Fedotov will look to build off his Olympic play with team Russia where he posted a .943 sv% and 1.61 GAA.
