We have breaking news coming to you all this Saturday evening, as we've just learned that the Flyers are working on a trade that would send Tony DeAngelo back home.
DeAngelo Back to the Canes
According to trusted NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Philadelphia Flyers are working on a trade with the Carolina Hurricanes that would send defenseman Tony DeAngelo back to the Canes.
DeAngelo was traded to the Flyers from Carolina at last year's NHL Entry Draft, which would make his time in Philly almost exactly one year. It was believed that Carolina didn't want to pay DeAngelo his desired raise, yet they will now be re-acquiring him at that salary.
Flyers' newly appointed General Manager Daniel Briere has been quite busy since taking over as GM. So far, most of his moves have looked like major wins for Philly, so we'll have to wait and see if these moves hold up.
