Bruins' Decision on Mitchell Miller Has Been Made
When the Bruins signed Mitchell Miller, it put a damper on their incredible season. The media backlash was intense, and now, 8 months later, they're right back in it.
Bruins Have Not Bought Out Miller
While, on November 6th, Bruins president Cam Neely said that the organization had parted ways with Mitchell Miller, now, in the first buyout window of the season, no move has been made to actually do the parting.
"Today the Boston Bruins have decided to part ways with Mitchell Miller, effective immediately," team president Cam Neely said in a statement. "The decision to sign this young man was made after careful consideration of the facts as we were aware of them: that at 14 years old he made a poor decision that led to a juvenile conviction. We understood this to be an isolated incident and that he had taken meaningful action to reform and was committed to ongoing personal development. Based on that understanding we offered him a contract."

Miller's buyout would cost the Bruins just over $200k oer year for the next two seasons, but as long as he's not bought out, he is still on their payroll.
Until the Bruins take responsibility for the Miller signing, it will cast a shadow on the organization. What a disappointing continuance of bad decisions.
