The Winnipeg Jets have a talented team on paper, but there seems to be an issue in their locker room that is preventing them from winning in the playoffs.

They have already gone through two head coach changes since 2021, and the next step for Kevin Cheveldayoff, the team's manager, will be to make changes to the player roster. Some players have already made it clear that they will not be returning to the team. It would be surprising to see Pierre-Luc Dubois or Mark Scheifele playing for the Jets next season.
But that's not all. Reporters Pierre LeBrun, Eric Duhatschek, and Michael Russo published an article on The Athleticw, revealing that Connor Hellebuyck has officially expressed his desire to leave Winnipeg.

Will Hellebuyck be Traded This Summer?

Here's what they revealed about Hellebuyck's situation:
"And there should be no confusion about whether Hellebuyck has interest in signing an extension in Winnipeg. That ship has sailed. His next contract will be with a new team."

Hellebuyck still has one season remaining on his current contract, and the Jets won't let him leave without receiving anything in return for their top goaltender. Cheveldayoff will have to trade him if they want to get something valuable in exchange.
His $6.16 million average annual value (AAV) contract should make the trade process easier. Many teams are likely to be interested in acquiring him, but they will need to offer a significant price to secure his services.
With the upcoming draft and the opening of the free agent market in the next few weeks, we should find out what will happen to Hellebuyck sooner rather than later.
As seen on Hockey Feed - Hellebuyck is done in Winnipeg.
