The Montreal Canadiens just announced that they have signed franchise cornerstone Cole Caufield to an eight-year deal.
Eight Years For Caufield
After a lengthy extension process, the Canadiens have officially come to terms with Cole Caufield on an eight-year extension worth $62.8-million.
The deal carries an annual average value of 7,85$-million, which comes right under Nick Suzuki's 7.875-million.
Caufield was on pace for 46 goals in his sophomore season, and this deal could turn out to be an absolute steal.
