The Fate of the Arizona Coyotes Will Officially be Determined Tonight
The Tempe City Council will be voting on whether or not to build the proposed Tempe Arena. Which way will they decide?
Coyotes Future To Be Determined Today
Today has been determined as "the biggest day in Coyotes history" according to numerous reputable sources, including NHL Insider, Frank Seravalli.
If the proposal goes through, the Coyotes will have a home for the foreseeable future. If not, they must start to consider relocation.
Throughout the Coyotes' tenure in Arizona, they have played in three different cities (Phoenix, Glendale, and now Tempe). With the struggles of finding a permanent home in the Grand Canyon State, the Coyotes will need to find a new home if this proposal is rejected.
On the 32 Thoughts podcast, NHL insider Jeff Marek suggested a few cities Arizona could relocate to.
The alarming thing is how Marek did not mention any Canadian locations, especially Quebec.
Quebec has been asking for a team ever since the Nordiques left and have proven that they can host a passionate fanbase. With a potential Coyotes relocation, could we see the Nordiques come back to town?
