As the playoffs are halfway done, there's less hockey to cover than there was a week ago. Insiders, reporters, and fans are patiently waiting for the upcoming draft.

Now that the draft order has been released, people are wondering what kind of trades we will witness this year at the selection ceremony.
A huge proposal to send Connor Bedard to the Boston Bruins was raised but was quickly dismissed by a reporter.

Bruins Reporter Shuts Down Massive Trade Rumor Regarding Connor Bedard

The Bruins' early playoff exit was disappointing for many fans. After a record-breaking season, a lot of people thought Boston was going for the Cup. It stings even more to know they traded away a good number of draft picks to bolster their lineup for the playoffs.
As you can see in the picture below, they won't have a lot of picks in the next few years.

Trade propositions to acquire a first-round pick this year are flowing, but reporter Mark Allred doesn't think it's a great idea.
Here's his statement:
"I get everyone has their own opinions and thoughts, but I don't believe it's a good idea for the #NHLBruins to trade players like Pastrnak, McAvoy, Swayman, and so on for this year's number one pick. Blowing up the team isn't exactly the correct road to success."

Even if they'll likely lose a couple of UFAs this summer, they still have good players on their roster. Allred believes Boston shouldn't trade them, even for Connor Bedard.
There's one more thing: it seems evident that the Blackhawks won't trade their pick. They not only desire Bedard, but they desperately need him.
The more you think about this proposal, the more ridiculous it sounds!
